With incredible excitement, the Office of Career and Professional Development, in collaboration with the Office of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion, announces the 2019 – 2020 Traditions of Excellence program. This program explores the ingredients for success in a range of careers and professions with the goal of identifying universal principles for everyone who seeks to improve personally and professionally. The Traditions of Excellence program features a series of speakers who will share their stories and insights about reaching the top of their fields so you can reach the top of your field.

We are kicking off the 2019 – 2020 Traditions of Excellence series at 5:00 p.m. on November 5, 2019 in the Kelley Board Room with Clifford Greene, Esq. Mr. Greene built a successful law firm and career focused on civil litigation, public sector representation and alternative dispute resolution. He is a graduate of Harvard College and Cornell Law School. He also served as a Board Member for William Mitchell College of Law and again during the successful combination of William Mitchell and Hamline University School of Law to form Mitchell Hamline School of Law. Mr. Greene began teaching in the 1980’s by teaching Professor Michael Steenson “everything he knows about Tort Law.”

The theme for the Traditions of Excellence program during the 2019 – 2020 school year is leadership and will focus on how you can achieve excellence in fields both inside and outside of the legal profession where academic intelligence, commitment, creativity, grit, and passion are required to achieve the standard of excellence in your profession.
