Interested in representing incarcerated or formerly incarcerated individuals? Due to some late drops, there are currently a couple of openings in the Legal Assistance to Minnesota Prisoners (LAMP) and Reentry Clinics. The LAMP and Reentry Clinics provide students with the opportunity to represent justice-involved people on a variety of civil issues, from family law to prison conditions to expungement. Students provide all the representation, from the initial interview to the final hearing. The Clinics also offers a great perspective on law school (as in, if you think law school is difficult, try prison).
If you’re interested, sign up. If you have any questions, please contact the Director of the LAMP Clinic, Bradford Colbert at brad.colbert@mitchellhamline.edu, or the Director of the Reentry Clinic, Jon Geffen, at jon.geffen@mitchellhamline.edu.
