ONLINE Summer Institute for Students – Politics, Propaganda, and Genocide:
From the Holocaust and the Genocide of the American Indians to Crises Today
(St. Paul, MN; July 16, 2020) World Without Genocide, a human rights organization at Mitchell Hamline School of Law in St. Paul, will host the annual Summer Institute for High School and College Students. This year’s topic is Politics, Propaganda, and Genocide: From the Holocaust and the Genocide of the American Indians to Crises Today.
While most summer programs are postponed because of COVID-19, the 2020 Summer Institute will continue as planned – but online. The Summer Institute will examine the pattern of hate and violence today and the parallels during the Holocaust and the genocide of the American Indians. Attendees will learn how to advocate for human rights policy and legislation.
The Institute will be held Tuesday through Thursday, August 4 – August 6, 10:00 – noon, 1:30-4:00, and 7:00-9:00 pm CT online through Zoom. The Institute is open to all current high school and college students in the US and abroad. The deadline to register is July 26.
The Institute has received the Minnesota Ethical Leadership Award in recognition of outstanding programming to develop young leaders.
World Without Genocide promotes education and action to protect innocent people, prevent genocide, prosecute perpetrators, and remember those affected by genocide.
