The Minnesota Supreme Court will once again host two Mitchell Hamline School of Law Legal Residents for Fall Semester 2020. One of the Residents will work full time during fall semester directly under the supervision of Justice Anne McKeig. The other Resident will work full time during fall semester directly under the supervision of Justice Paul Thissen. Although the actual start dates are still to be determined, I anticipate that the Residencies will begin right around the time Fall Semester starts and run through the end of the semester. Considering the situation arising from the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, the Residents will work remotely.
A well-qualified applicant will meet the following qualifications: Third Year Student – Strong research, writing and analytical skills. Students of diverse backgrounds are strongly encouraged to apply.
If you are interested in applying for these Residency Positions, please submit the following by email to Rick Petry, Assistant Director of Career and Professional Development (Rick.Petry@MitchellHamline.edu) not later than 5:00 p.m. central time on Wednesday, August 5, 2020:

• Resume
• Writing Sample
• Unofficial Transcript.
Once we receive all of the submissions, select faculty members will conduct an initial review of the submissions. After that, a number of candidates will be recommended to the Justices for their consideration. The Justices will then review the final applications and select those candidates who they wish to interview.
