The Jessup International Moot Court Competition is the world’s largest moot court competition, there are participants from about 700 law schools and 100 different countries and jurisdictions. The Jessup is a simulation of a fictional legal dispute between countries, arguing in front of the International Court of Justice, the judicial branch of the United Nations.
This year’s fictional dispute will feature a pandemic, and the competition will take place either remotely or in person, if COVID allows. Please see ilsa.org for more information about the competition. The Mitchell Hamline Jessup Moot Court Team will prepare oral and written pleadings, arguing both the applicant respondent positions of the fictional case. If you have an interest in international law and developing your advocacy skills- the Jessup Competition is for you.
