The ABA Section of Taxation’s Women in Tax Forum cordially invites you to the Women in Tax: Law Student Outreach Panel. A dynamic and diverse panel of tax practitioners will provide insight into their careers, advice for how students may pursue a career in tax, and share ideas on ways in which we are committed to making tax more inclusive.
Panelists:
The Honorable Judge Diana L. Leyden, Special Trial Judge at the United States Tax Courtand Adjunct Professor of Law at Georgetown University Law Center.
Michelle Brunsvold, Senior Tax Counsel at Cargill, Incorporated. At Cargill, Michelle’s primary focuses have been on tax planning for M&A, international tax planning for LATAM and EMEA, and global and strategic planning.
Lena Y. Hines, Principal (National Tax Department) at EY. Lena consults on domestic and inter-national tax-planning opportunities involving financial products. Amanda P. Varma, Partner, Steptoe & Johnson LLP.
Amanda advises multinational businesses, family offices, and high-net-worth individuals on US federal income tax matters, with particular focus on international tax planning and controversies. She is also an Adjunct Professor of Law at Georgetown University Law Center.
Pooja Kondabolu, Global Partnerships, Airbnb, Inc. Pooja has been the Global Tax PolicyLead at Airbnb for the last few years where she worked cross functionally on a range of indirect tax issues, including Airbnb’s tax agreements with national, state and local governments.
