Leslie E. Redmond is a public speaker, civil rights advocate, and strategic problem solver. Leslie is a Washington DC Native. At the then age of 25, she became the youngest President of Minneapolis NAACP. She is also the founder of Don’t Complain, Activate.
Leslie stood on the front lines after the unjust killings of Jamar Clark, Philando Castile, Justine Damond, George Floyd, and Breonna Taylor. She was one of the “Louisville 87” that was arrested for demanding justice for Breonna Taylor. Leslie also gave a groundbreaking speech during the George Floyd protest that gained national attention and shifted the narrative from “looting” to “uprising.”
Leslie received her BA in Political Science and minor in African Studies from Barry University in Miami, Florida. She recently received her JD/MBA from the University of St. Thomas and is a licensed attorney. Leslie previously served as a Policy Research Associate at the Minnesota Attorney General Office.
