As a follow-up to the Election Panel that will be held on Friday, 11/6, the Mitchell Hamline Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Steering Committee will be hosting Listening Circles as a way for students, faculty and staff to process their feelings and reactions to 2020.
A listening circle is a way to engage in difficult conversations by encouraging participants to both speak and listen from the heart. With the assistance of a skilled circle keeper, circles create a safe space for participants, in small groups, to express different viewpoints.
There will be separate Listening Circles for Faculty/Staff and Students.
Date: November 11, 2020
Student Listen Circle Times: 2:00 – 3:30 or 6 – 7:30.
(Student can select time block when registering)
Circles will be 8 – 10 people and will be led by experienced and trained facilitators/circles keepers.
* This event will count for 1.5 hours of Diversity Credit.
