The Jewish Law Student Association (JLSA) and the Legal Association of Women Students (LAWS) invite Mitchell Hamline Staff & Faculty to an event to honor the late Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg:
Honoring Ruth Bader Ginsburg
Friday, November 20 at 1:00 -2:30pm (CT) via Zoom
(Webinar link to be announced soon!)
Justice Ginsburg devoted her life to the law, promoting justice for all, and the furtherance of equal rights of women in the United States. In these uncertain political times, it is important that the Mitchell Hamline community gathers and discusses Justice Ginsburg’s legacy on gender equality and how we, as a nation and legal professionals, move forward from here. Please join JLSA and LAWS in our panel and discussion on Justice Ginsburg’s legacy where we will hear from Rabbi Marcia Zimmerman of Temple Israel Synagogue, Beth Gendler, Executive Director of National Council of Jewish Women of Minnesota (NCJW), Kristy Wesson, Director of Communications and Programming, at National Council of Jewish Women of Minnesota (NCJW), Jess Braverman, Legal Director, at Gender Justice, and Erin Maye Quade, Advocacy Director, at Gender Justice.
This event will be Friday, November 20, at 1:00 (CT) via Zoom (link to be announced shortly). Open to Mitchell Hamline students, faculty, and alumni. Free to Mitchell Hamline students and 1.5 diversity credits available.
The event organizers understand there are a few internal events that will be occurring simultaneously to this event. The program will be recorded and distributed for those who cannot join the live webinar.
