The Move the Needle 1L Virtual Summer Learning Forum provides students with the opportunity to hear from law firm and corporate legal department leaders on a variety of topics, including: (1) the current state of the marketplace in specific industry sectors, (2) the traits and competencies of successful lawyers in those sectors, and (3) career-enhancing tips and techniques. Most importantly, each session of the virtual forum will incorporate small group networking so that students can meet, get to know, and ask questions of law firm and legal department practitioners in an informal setting and make additional professional connections in the legal industry.
The Move the Needle Fund, comprised of law firms and 20+ legal departments, invites 1L (rising 2L) students from historically underrepresented populations to participate in an eight-week virtual summer learning forum and networking opportunity.
The programming will be held on Thursdays throughout the summer beginning on Thursday, June 3rd and ending on Thursday, July 22nd. Programs will begin at 9am PT/12pm ET and conclude by 11am PT/2pm ET. Students are welcome to attend as many sessions as they would like.
Interested students can register here. There is also a preliminary agenda and list of topics.
