Is voting a right? Or is it a privilege? Come for the next League of Women Voters St. Paul (LWVSP) free online discussion, “Who Gets to Vote?” on Tuesday, June 29, from 7:00 pm – 8:00 pm (CT).
The League will be discussing Americans’ voting rights in a historical and modern-day context. What were, and are, the conditions when voting rights have been expanded or restricted? What about today’s efforts to change voting and election laws are similar or different from the past? How will the implementation and administration of proposed legislation, state and federal, affect the ability to vote? What is the impact of these efforts on our democracy? Please join us as David Schultz and Tammy Patrick present information and discuss these and other relevant questions.
In the interest of public health and safety, this will be a virtual event. The event will be available via Zoom and also will be shown on LWVSP’s Facebook page. Interested participants can register on Zoom at this link: https://zoom.us/webinar/register/WN_-XVPXZ1vSviYRyxuxrWV9A
The Zoom webinar will be closed captioned and live-streamed on SCCTV and recorded for future viewing.
