Minnesota State Bar Association’s New Lawyers Section
The Minnesota State Bar Association’s New Lawyers Section invites new lawyers (attorneys who are admitted to practice within the past six years or who are less than 36 years of age) and law students to join the Section. The Section’s efforts focus on professional development, community outreach, and networking. Our mission is to represent and promote involvement of new lawyers and law students in the MSBA through organizational, educational, and networking opportunities.
The New Lawyers Section also invites new lawyers and law students to submit article proposals for Bench and Bar magazine’s new lawyers column. Publishing an article with Bench and Bar is a wonderful way to work on your writing and market yourself to the Minnesota legal community. Articles cover substantive law and legislation, marketing, legal technology, practical tips, and a variety of other topics. Article length should be between 500 and 1500 words, including citations, and may be drafted/published by multiple authors. The Bench and Bar publishes once per month and includes up to one new lawyers column article in each publication.
If you are interested in publishing in the new lawyers column of Bench and Bar, please submit a brief description of your proposed article/topic to the New Lawyers Section’s Publications Committee:
