Im/migrant & Refugee Health, Justice, and the Law
Greetings all,
The Center for Justice and Law is excited to invite you to our final virtual Spring 2022 conference Prioritizing Belonging: Equity and Mental Health in Im/Migrant and Refugee Communities featuring local and national advocates, community members, and leaders on Friday, May 6th, 10:00 am-2:00pm CST.
Join the CJL for a transformative conversation on mental health in Im/migrant and Refugee communities. This four-hour conference offers a series of panels including a Plenary Speaker, a Keynote Speaker, and conversations with cross-sector leaders, advocates, scholars, and community members. This conference aims to address the current mental health climate for Im/migrants and refugees. We hope to identify structural and experiential obstacles communities face navigating their wellbeing journeys. In doing this we aim to empower individual and community stories while exposing systems that perpetuate inequities.
Our first panel gives space for those with Im/migrant and Refugee backgrounds to discuss their experiences navigating mental health and wellness. Our last panel will highlight the work of stakeholders, professionals, and advocates in the mental health and wellness field both locally and nationally.
We are very excited to host this conference and look forward to the lively discussion among our esteemed speakers.
Stay tuned for the final speaker announcement.
