THE UNWRITTEN RULEBOOK: A LAW STUDENT’S CRASH COURSE IN SOFT SKILLS AND SOCIAL ETIQUETTE IN THE LEGAL WORKPLACE.”
The FBA-MN Mentorship Committee invites you to attend a free webinar on Thursday, April 21, 2022 from 12:15pm – 1:15 pm CST, entitled: “The Unwritten Rulebook: A Law Student’s Crash Course In Soft Skills And Social Etiquette In The Legal Workplace.” This event, led by Alison Plavin, the Director of Associate Advancement at Taft Stettinius & Hollister LLP, and previously the Assistant Director of Employee Relations in the Career Center at the University of Minnesota Law School, will help law students and newer lawyers prepare to navigate with aplomb the range of social functions and networking events they may encounter during their summer work experiences or in future job interviews. The program will feature a combination of presentations and breakout discussions facilitated by attorney FBA members, and will include an opportunity for attendees to “practice” learned skills in a follow-up small group outing or remote setting that suits participants’ comfort levels.
