Law Students of Color,
Lawyers of Color is recruiting minority law students to serve as Lawyers of Color Ambassadors for the Spring Semester 2023, who will have the opportunity to network with law firm partners and corporate in-house counsel, as well as public interest law leaders.
Because ambassadors are unpaid, the time commitment is limited to about 30 minutes per week. If you’d like to take advantage of this opportunity, please complete this short contact form by Friday, February 3rd. https://forms.gle/93yFpMuxeu76KaVv7
Lawyers of Color is a 501(c)(3) devoted to promoting diversity in the legal profession. We celebrate attorneys of color and conduct research and studies regarding the intersection of the legal profession and social justice. We’ve been mentioned in The New York Times, the National Law Journal, and Above The Law, among other media outlets. We publish about a dozen publications annually, including the Power List, the Hot List, and the Black Guide to Law Schools and Firms. See our Publications page to read more issues.

Law Ambassador Duties
Amplify Lawyers of Color Messaging on Social Media
Once or twice a week, we’ll send you a text or email asking you to like and/or retweet Lawyers of Color posts. You’ll also be asked to forward Lawyers of Color’s newsletter to your law school peers.
Collect Data
Lawyers of Color is preparing to publish a comprehensive directory of all minority federal and state judges and their clerks. Ambassadors will assist with the collection of this information.
Interact with Lawyers of Color Honorees
Each year, Lawyers of Color publishes several issues honoring various groups of attorneys (partners, general counsel, lobbyists, etc.). Ambassadors will call and congratulate honorees and may attend the accompanying receptions. Fellows will also use a template to create blog and social media posts for 2 or 3 honorees.
Serve as Your Law School’s Lawyers of Color Liaison
From time to time, events impacting black students arise on campus that ambassadors may wish to amplify with the help of Lawyers of Color.
Special Projects (participation is optional)
Occasionally, Lawyers of Color will have special research and/or reporting projects. Interested ambassadors will be invited to participate.
