Equal Justice Works’ 2023 Disaster Resilience Symposium is cohosted by the American Bar Association Standing Committee on Disaster Response and Preparedness and the American Bar Association Young Lawyers Division Disaster Legal Services and accommodated by Stetson University College of Law.
This event will bring together legal, academic, and community voices instrumental in disaster law and the resilience movement. Keynote presentations and discussion panels will spotlight current and emerging issues in disaster response, preparedness and resilience. Participants will engage in discussions surrounding the latest trends in disaster academia, systemic issues, and the future of disaster response and preparedness with a lens towards building resiliency in the face of climate-related and human-made disasters.
This symposium is free to attend and will offer numerous opportunities for networking, community building and include a disaster simulator workshop. CLE credit will be available to in person attendees. Please note that this is an in-person symposium. While there is no hybrid attendance option, recordings of the substantive sessions will be made available after the program.
