Saint Paul 1-Side Parking Ban in Effect for RESIDENTIAL streets until April 15.
Parking is NOT allowed on the EVEN numbered side of residential streets until April 15. In Saint Paul, the even-numbered side of the street is typically the south or east side of the street. See the Winter 1-Sided Parking Restrictions map to determine which street sections have one-sided parking restrictions (dashed red line): www.stpaul.gov/1sideparkingmap
Follow normal posted parking on arterial (main) streets. Always follow all posted signs, including temporary no parking signs. Do not block residential driveways, alley access or intersections.
The City will continue ticketing and towing vehicles that are in violation of the 1-sided parking restrictions. The City of Saint Paul has created a 1-side parking map to help residents know which streets have the parking restrictions to avoid a potential ticket or tow.
The residential street parking ban is needed because the record snowfall this winter has narrowed many residential streets. Saint Paul Public Works has been working closely with the Saint Paul Fire Department, Saint Paul Police Department, and Saint Paul Public Schools to monitor street condition to keep them accessible for emergency vehicles and school buses.
