Join MHSL alumni Andy Taylor, who will moderate a free online event with U.S. District Court Judge John Tunheim (D. Minn.) on rule of law in Central Asia. This is being sponsored by the American Bar Association’s International Law Section on Wednesday, November 1, from 12:00 – 1:00 p.m. over Zoom. You do not need to be a member of the ABA to participate. Register here: Notes from the Field: A Federal Judge’s Impressions on Rule of Law in Central Asia (americanbar.org).
Though Judge Tunheim is a well-known veteran of the local federal court bench, you might not know that he has spent decades working with foreign governments and civil society on rule of law, constitutional drafting, and judicial institutional development around the world. He has a particular focus on Central Asia and will be speaking to the ABA’s International Law Section about this work after he returns from a trip to Uzbekistan.
