Registration is open for the 29024 competition, and open to all MHSL students. This is a great, independent competition that previous students recommend.
The 2024 competition will run from Thursday, February 1st until Wednesday, March 13th, 2024. All registered students will be sent the Competition Problem after registration closes. They will have six weeks to read it, and write and submit their memorandum and PowerPoint submissions.
This competition will have three winners who will be graded anonymously by an independent panel of judges. The top three winners will receive a monetary prize for their work and paid registration for the 2025 HCCA Annual Compliance Institute (valued at over $1,500). They will also receive up to $1500 in travel and conference-related expenses.
1st Place — $5000 cash prize
2nd Place — $3000 cash prize
3rd Place — $1500 cash prize
Last year’s winner Torin Shanahan shared, “I absolutely recommend this competition to all law students interested in healthcare or transactional law. It offers a challenging and unique experience that is rare to find in typical law school courses. Entering this competition has been a highlight of my law school journey, and I’m confident that future participants will find it equally rewarding.”
More information can be found on the competition page.
