Every year, it is estimated more than 10 million women and men are physically abused by an intimate partner in the United States.
In 2022 in Minnesota, 6,710 women were victims of rape or aggravated assault, a total 18 women each day.
From 2018 – July 2023, there have been 397 sexual, domestic violence, and assault offenses in Andover.
Nine Minnesota cities have ratified support for a human rights document for women, known as CEDAW. The city of Andover can become the 10th Minnesota city to affirm women’s rights.
The time to act is now to protect women in our community from abuse, violence, and discrimination. Join the conversation and the action in Andover for CEDAW.
