Mitchell Hamline’s International Comparative Law Program: Business, Immigration, and Criminal Law in London
Mitchell Hamline’s International Comparative Law Program in London is a summer study abroad program open to all U.S. law students interested in studying comparative law with professors, judges, and lawyers from the United States and the United Kingdom. Courses are held on the beautiful University of Greenwich campus in one of the most historic areas of London. The program is offered in collaboration with the University of Greenwich: School of Law and Criminology.
Choose from three courses. Students may register for one course in each session.
Session I
Course I—Doing Deals Across the World: Advising Global Entrepreneurs (3 credits)
M–Th, June 24–27 and M–Th, July 1–4, 2024
9 am–noon and 12:30–3:30 pm London time
Session II
Course II—Movement of Workers and Comparative Asylum Law, Practice & Procedure: Can They Stay or Must They Go? (3 credits)
Tu–F, July 9–12 and Tu–F, July 16–19, 2024
9 am–noon and 12:30–3:30 pm London time
Course III—Comparative Criminal, Constitutional, and Statutory Law and Practice From the Crime to the Courtroom: Business Fraud (2 credits)
Tu–F, July 9–12 and Tu–F, July 16–July 19, 2024
3–6:30 pm London time
Each course is two weeks in duration and meets four days per week. Students will have time outside of class to travel, explore, and experience all that England has to offer. Student housing is available within walking distance from the University of Greenwich classrooms.
