The UN states that bodily autonomy is a fundamental right about individual choice, dignity, power, and agency. This webinar examines strategies to guarantee and support this human right throughout the life course.
Betty Folliard, Founder of ERA Minnesota and former member of the Minnesota House of Representatives, will speak about efforts to ratify the Equal Rights Amendment in Minnesota for women’s full equality under the law including reproductive freedom, gender identity, gender expression, or sexual orientation.
Thaddeus Pope, J.D. and Ph.D., national expert in medical law and professor at Mitchell Hamline School of Law, will discuss medical aid in dying and the pending Minnesota End-of-Life Options Act, which gives terminally ill patients opportunities for increased autonomy at the end of their lives.
