Meet Minnesota Attorney General Keith Ellison and Jennifer Thompson, founder of Healing Justice!
Healing Justice, in partnership with the Minnesota Attorney General’s Office, Ramsey County Attorney’s Office, Hennepin County Attorney’s Office and For the People are hosting a series of events as part of National Crime Victims’ Rights Week centered around legislative updates and changes to the sentence structure of incarcerated individuals in Minnesota. The events will focus on public awareness and information sharing for the community.
Community members, system professionals and crime survivors are invited to join us at Mitchell Hamline Auditorium on Saturday, April 27th beginning at 10am for a two-part event. In Part 1, you will hear directly from Jennifer Thompson, Minnesota Attorney General Keith Ellison, Ramsey County Attorney John Choi, Claire Diegel from the Hennepin County Attorney’s Office and Hillary Blout of For the People. They will share critical information about sentence review and the protection of victims’ rights.
Part 2 of the event will also be held at Mitchell Hamline and begin at 12pm on Saturday, April 27th – victim service providers, crime survivors, their families are invited to engage in conversation with Jennifer Thompson, and receive information from advocates and other survivors about their rights, safety planning and services.
This is a wonderful opportunity to engage directly with your local leaders and meet with crime survivors. We are looking forward to seeing you at these events! You can register in advance here but walk-ins are welcome. All events are open to the public.
