Matthew McCarthy
Matthew McCarthy is Vice President and Assistant General Counsel for U.S. Bank. Matthew serves as Chief Legal Officer and Secretary for U.S. Bancorp Investments, U.S. Bank’s affiliate broker/dealer. As CLO Matthew primarily advises the broker/dealer on its retail operations, product approvals, personnel, litigation, and governance. He also provides interpretations of securities laws and regulations affecting the broader U.S. Bancorp Company. Prior to his current position, Matthew served as Securities Regulatory Counsel for U.S. Bank, and as Senior Securities Enforcement Attorney and Assistant General Counsel for the Tennessee Department of Commerce and Insurance. Matthew received his B.S.B.A. in Business Economics from the University of Arizona Eller College of Management and his J.D. from Vanderbilt University Law School.
