The Journal of Public Policy and Practice (JPPP) is recruiting for Vol. 47 members! If you’re passionate about legal scholarship and want to play a key role in publishing policy-focused articles, apply for one of our open positions:
- Editor-In-Chief – Oversees all journal operations and makes final decisions on board matters.
- Managing Editor – Supports the EIC with formatting, budgeting, and administrative tasks.
- Articles Editors (2) – Solicit, review, and develop articles from external authors.
- Primary Editors (2) – Work directly with Writing Associates to refine their papers for publication.
- Symposium Editor – Leads the planning of JPPP’s annual policy symposium.
- Policy Editor – Manages The Quadriga blog and organizes the annual legislative forum.
- Production Editor – Conducts final grammar, fact, and citation checks for published articles.
- Digital Editor – Maintains and enhances the journal’s online presence.

If you’re interested in an associate position, write-on will occur at the end of the Spring semester and will include the following positions:
JPPP Associate Positions
- Writing Associate (2 credits) – Write an 8,500-word public policy-focused paper that meets MHSL’s Advanced Research & Writing requirement. The paper is developed with support from a faculty advisor and a JPPP board member. Credits can be allocated in the Fall, Spring, or J-term.
- Editing Associate (1 credit) – Edit citations and substantive portions of JPPP articles. Associates are assigned to a team and work under the guidance of a dedicated board member. Credit can be allocated in the Fall, Spring, or J-term
