You are invited to attend a free screening of the documentary film Ain’t No Back to a Merry-Go-Round on March 12, 2025, at 5 pm in the Auditorium. Before the March on Washington, there was Glen Echo Amusement Park, where five Black students rode a segregated carousel in 1960, igniting one of the earliest organized interracial civil rights protests in U.S. history. Ain’t No Back to a Merry-Go-Round is the untold story of the Jews they marched with, Nazis they provoked, Congressmen they inspired and Civil Rights leaders they became.
This event will begin at 5:00 with food and a Welcome. The film will start at 5:30 and be followed by a panel discussion at 7:00. It is pending approval for 2.5 CLE credits.
