Jessica Carlson has joined Faegre Drinker as counsel in the finance & restructuring practice inMinneapolis. Carlson comes to the firm from Deluxe Corporation, where she was director of contract strategy & solution engineering.
Carlson is a collaborative legal adviser skilled at anticipating and mitigating risks and working on complex transactions and agreements, enhanced by her significant business acumen. She brings robust transactional experience from her work at a large financial institution and a financial services company during the past decade of her career. Carlson’s strong business background and sophisticated client service approach enable her to serve her clients’ needs and provide creative and practical solutions.

Prior to joining the firm, Carlson was a director at Deluxe Corporation, where she led a large team comprised of the enterprise client contracting and payments solution engineering functions, and also previously served as corporate counsel. She also previously worked at U.S. Bank as a vice president, where she managed the contract services team in the review and negotiation of a variety of transactions and agreements, including professional and consulting services and other technology-related agreements.
Carlson earned her bachelor’s degree with distinction from the University of Wisconsin–Madison and her Juris Doctor, cum laude, from Mitchell Hamline College of Law.
