Mark Johnson is the Dean of Business and Technology at San Jacinto College, an urban multi-campus community college in Houston, Texas. Overseeing 19 different programs, ranging from Business Management to Electrical Engineering, from Paralegal to Diesel Technology, Mark leads the division’s operations and strategic planning. He is also the Project Director for San Jacinto College’s Open Educational Resource (OER) Degree grant initiative, developing one of the nation’s first OER degrees. He is the former Department Chair of English and Modern Language at SJC. Mark earned his BA in English (2002) at the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse, his MA in English (2004) at Winona State University, and his JD (2010) at William Mitchell College of Law. He lives in Kingwood, Texas with his wife, Michelle, and his children, Ariel (10) and George (10).
