The City of Auburn, NY has filled the assistant corporation counsel position. Nate Garland started in the position July 17. Garland has more than 10 years of experience practicing law. He received his law degree from the William Mitchell College of Law in St. Paul, Minnesota, in 2006 and ran his own solo law practice in Oneonta until 2012, when he took a job as a Cayuga County assistant district attorney. Garland will primarily focus on working with the city’s code enforcement and planning and economic development offices. He will be the staff corporation counsel for the city planning and zoning boards.
