Alisha Marie S. Nair ’10, serves as president-elect of the Mitchell Hamline School of Law Alumni Association Board, where she has been a board member since 2022. She also serves as an adjunct professor at Mitchell Hamline, teaching trial advocacy and mentoring future advocates.
Alisha Marie has more than 15 years of legal experience in litigation, regulatory enforcement, and public service. She currently serves as senior litigation counsel with the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau. Her career has also included service as a senior attorney for the City of Atlanta, an assistant federal defender in the Middle District of Florida, and an assistant public defender in Georgia.
A graduate of Howard University, where she earned her B.A. in Political Science, cum laude, Alisha Marie earned her J.D. from Hamline University School of Law in 2010. Her commitment to service extends beyond the legal profession through extensive nonprofit, alumni, and community leadership, including currently serving as parliamentarian of the Howard University Alumni Association and president of the Peachtree City Firefighters Foundation.
Alisha Marie enjoys traveling with her family, experiencing new cultures and cuisines, and giving back to the communities and institutions that have shaped her.
