Counseling Services
“I’m a licensed psychologist, and I have been counseling in higher-ed for about 25-30 years. Personally I am a member of the LGBTQ community and also a mixed person of color, therefore I strongly believe in the importance of social justice and identity. I am also a dance instructor, so I appreciate expressive art therapies and how they contribute to our sense of wellbeing and self-expression. I view therapy as really just a facilitative process where it is a form of out-loud-journaling–each person sits in a space with another person who has as much objectivity as possible to help take a hard look at how you are thinking, feeling, and behaving while encouraging curiosity and self-awareness and developing as much insight, mindfulness, and planfulness as possible.”
