Dr. Jing Bian is a senior lecturer in financial law in the University of Greenwich, School of Law and Criminology. She has published widely on the comparative financial regulation aspect, as well as China-related issues. Her edited 4 volume book titled “Financial Regulation in China”, which covers the entire Chinese financial system since 1949, will be published by Routledge (London). Her book “China’s Securities Market- Towards Efficient Regulation” was published in January 2014 by Routledge. She has won Highly Commended Paper in the 2016 Emerald Literati Network Awards for Excellence. Dr. Jing Bian has a track record with research and practical projects for international institutions as well as international transactions. She frequently speaks at academic conferences and industry summits. Dr. Jing Bian has solid practical and commercial experiences. She is a trust and estate practitioner in England and Wales, and a full member of Chartered Institute for Securities and Investment. In 2019, she was appointed as a special consultant for Guangdong, Hong Kong, Macau Great Bay AI and Law Institute. She is an expert to the Shenzhen Mediation Expert Base, which is aimed at promoting cross border dispute settlements. She held a number of roles in financial institutions; for instance, COO of an innovative finance firm for Additive Manufacturing System. And, she was the Head of the Chinese Market for a leading Fintech company located in the City of London. She was a civil servant in the justice department, China.
