Biography
Lisa Needham teaches in Mitchell Hamline’s appellate advocacy courses. Professor Needham previously served as an assistant director, assistant professor, and adjunct professor in the school’s Legal Writing program for several years.
Upon graduation from William Mitchell College of Law, Ms. Needham clerked for then-Chief Justice Kathleen Blatz of the Minnesota Supreme Court. She also practiced in public sector law as an Assistant Minneapolis City Attorney specializing in data practices and election law. Subsequently, as a lawyer at the Minnesota Department of Education, she oversaw regulation of charter schools and K-12 online learning.
Ms. Needham also works as an editor and writer focusing on law practice management technology, diversity in the law, access to justice, and topics of particular interest to solo and small firm lawyers.
