Christy M. Penton is a magna cum laude graduate of Mitchell Hamline’s blended learning program with a Certificate in Healthcare Compliance. She has a master’s degree in healthcare management from Troy University, a bachelor of science degree in cellular and molecular biology from the University of West Florida, and an associate degree in registered nursing from Pensacola Junior College. She also obtained C.H.C. certification in 2018.
Christy practices at her solo firm, Penton Law Firm in Florida, where she represents clients primarily in the areas of real property, construction law, contract law, judgment collection, medical malpractice, personal injury, and landlord tenant. Christy is also a lifetime member of the Million Dollar Advocates Forum.
Prior to practicing law, Christy worked in Healthcare IT management as the manager of the clinical applications team where she was responsible for the design, build, and maintenance of electronic health records systems, and she subsequently owned a consulting company that offered clinical IT services to numerous hospitals nationwide. She worked as a registered nurse in the areas of adult critical care and outpatient surgical recovery for ten years.
