Adjunct/Affiliated Professor
Devra Hermosilla has worked in the labor and employment field for nearly three decades—working in corporate human resources prior to law school, serving as a labor and employment attorney since 2006 in the Pacific Northwest, serving as an assistant dean at a law school in career and professional development since 2017, and now back full circle to labor and employment law for a public school district. She has taught law as an adjunct law professor since 2016. Throughout her law practice, Devra primarily represented employers in collective bargaining and grievances, employment litigation, administrative hearings, and in compliance counseling. She was nominated by her peers as a Rising Star Super Lawyer in employment litigation.
Devra earned her bachelor of arts from Pacific Lutheran University and her juris doctor from Seattle University School of Law. She completed her master of arts in higher education from the University of South Dakota in 2020. Married since the 1990s, Devra and Miguel have a son who is an emergency dispatcher and a daughter in college studying to be a game and animation artist. Devra is an avid roller derby fan—having played, coached, and stage-mommed in the sport since 2008.
