Elizabeth Tarloski is a Staff Attorney at Philadelphia VIP, focusing on landlord-tenant cases, and Adjunct Professor at the Lewis B. Puller Jr Veterans Benefits Clinic at William and Mary Law School. From 2015 to 2018, she served as a Visiting Professor of Practice in the clinic. She has taught courses in Veterans Benefits and Discharge Upgrades, and has given trainings nationwide on Military Sexual Trauma and Veterans Benefits. She also developed and taught the first law school clinic class nationwide to focus exclusively on Veterans Benefits Cases specific to Military Sexual Trauma and helped to create and teach an online certificate course in Psychological Challenges and Resulting Legal Issues for Service Members and Veterans.
In addition to teaching and supervising students, Professor Tarloski has served on the Supreme Court Special Committee on Best Practices for Veterans’ Dockets, worked with the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Virginia Veterans’ Initiative Program, served as an Equal Justice Works AmeriCorps Fellow at Widener University School of Law’s Veterans Law Clinic, and worked with the Philadelphia Lawyers for Social Equity. She has a specific interest in trauma informed interviewing and medical-legal partnerships.
Tarloski graduated from the University of San Diego, has her Master of Science in Gender, Development and Globalization from the London School of Economics and Political Science, and received her law degree from Drexel University, Thomas R. Kline School of Law.
