Adjunct/Affiliated Professor
Elizabeth Thompson, an adjunct faculty member since 1991, has taught both skills-based courses and clinical courses. She received her Bachelor of Science with Distinction from the University of Minnesota and her JD from William Mitchell College of Law. Thompson has experience in both civil and criminal law, including employment law and disability law. She is a Rule 114 Qualified Neutral in the State of Minnesota. Additionally, she served as a Hearing Review Officer to conduct Appellate Review of Special Education Due Process Hearings for the Minnesota Department of Education, and she is past director of the Minnesota Advocacy Institute. Thompson teaches Interviewing, Counseling and Negotiating at the University of Minnesota Law School and is a clinical adjunct at William Mitchell. She also is a volunteer attorney with Children’s Law Center.
