Biography
Emeritus Professor John Weeks retired from Hamline Law’s full-time faculty in 2008; he was named emeritus professor in May 2008. Prior to joining Hamline, Weeks was a law clerk to a U.S. District Judge and an attorney with the State of California, where he was in private practice with a law firm in San Francisco. He spent a year as an academic visitor at the London School of Economics and did postgraduate study at the Parker School of Foreign and Comparative Law at Columbia University and at the Hague Academy of International Law in the Netherlands.
Weeks is a member of the American Society of International Law, the International Law Association, and the International Law sections of the American Bar Association and the California Bar Association.
He has participated in Hamline Law’s development of programs for summer study and for faculty exchange in Norway and Italy.
