Professor Kate Johansen serves as State Government Relations Director for Mayo Clinic. Previously, Johansen was the Director of Government Relations at Medica. She also served as a Senior Health Policy Advisor to the Minnesota Department of Human Services. Johansen has given presentations on healthcare and reform, provided policy analysis, and been quoted in every major Minnesota news publication and The New York Times. Johansen has served in every branch of government, two state legislatures, and on Capitol Hill. She graduated summa cum laude from William Mitchell College of Law (now Mitchell Hamline School of Law) in 2009.
