Adjunct/Affiliated Professor
Leslie Rosenberg graduated from Barnard College and Brooklyn Law School. She was a staff attorney for the Juvenile Rights Division of the Legal Aid Society in New York. In 1989, she became a conflicts lawyer for Hennepin County representing juveniles in delinquency cases and adults in child protection proceedings. From 2000 to 2020, she has been a full-time assistant appellate public defender litigating appeals in state and federal courts, as well as specializing in juvenile law. She is a frequent CLE presenter on juvenile issues and served on the advisory board of the Midwest Juvenile Defender Center. In addition, she has taught legal writing for paralegals, criminal justice at Hamline University and appellate advocacy at William Mitchell College of Law. She has served on the Minnesota Supreme Court’s Juvenile Delinquency Advisory Committee and was an editor for the Minnesota Judge’s Bench Book.
