Marquis Tapplin is a corporate finance attorney at Taft Stettinius & Hollister. Professor Tapplin’s practice focuses on the financing of complex commercial real estate, construction, bilateral, syndicated and mezzanine lending transactions. Professor Tapplin primarily drafts and reviews the many contracts and diligence materials that comprise said transactions. Prior to his work at Taft, he enjoyed a career in hospitality service and management for more than 15 years. While in law school, he was an extern for the now retired United States Magistrate Judge Franklin Noel of the U.S. District Court for the District of Minnesota. Professor Tapplin is a graduate of Mitchell Hamline School of Law.
