Attorney/Owner, Murphy’s Law
Melinda owns a solo defense practice in a rural Kansas town. She became an attorney upon graduating from Mitchell Hamline’s hybrid program after enjoying careers as a retail operations manager and a paralegal. Her practice is balanced between low-bono and appointed criminal, traffic, juvenile and abuse/neglect defense, as well as estate planning, property, and general business law. When not practicing law, Melinda spends time with her daughter and animals on the family farm where she was raised. Her recent article on criminal procedure complicated by traumatic grief is set for publication in 2020.
