The Center for Law and Business engages a staff of student leaders to set each year’s agenda and direction. Groups of students are actively learning, engaging, and facilitating the projects listed below. Members can select an area or areas where they would like to participate and engage with others.

The Law and Business Certificate
Mitchell Hamline’s Law and Business Certificate recognizes student accomplishments as they become business leaders, business managers, and business lawyers. Those who plan on completing the Law and Business Certificate must be active members of the Center for Law and Business.

Courses are available on a wide range of topics including accounting and finance, business strategy, planning and capitalization, compliance and risk management, taxation, business ethics and communications, organizational structure and governance and mergers, acquisitions, and other business transactions.

Doing Deals Across the World: Advising Global Entrepreneurs (3 credits)
Monday–Thursday, June 24–27 and Monday–Thursday, July 1–4, 2024
Work alongside start-up business entrepreneurs located in the United States and England as they introduce an environmentally friendly “eco-stove” that is great for camping and has sparked interest as an exciting tool to revolutionize development in third world countries.
Taught by Mitchell Hamline School of Law Professors Leanne Fuith and Denise Roy along with experienced faculty from University of Greenwich School: Law and Criminology and other international faculty.
