The legal magazine Minnesota Lawyer honored several Mitchell Hamline School of Law alums among its annual picks for Attorneys of the Year. The winners were celebrated at a banquet in Minneapolis on Thursday evening, Feb 18.
Five attorneys, all previous Attorney of the Year winners themselves, chose the nominees.
The magazine picked the winners as “examples of camaraderie and collegiality”:
“Trial teams that took on big cases and succeeded, suing powerful entities like the Kingdom of Norway, the Veteran’s Administration and the Archdiocese of Duluth. We have individuals and pairs of lawyers who represented children, the indigent, the injured, the cheated and defrauded, the infringed upon and the vulnerable immigrant. We have a prosecutor and some public defenders. We have two United States Supreme Court victories.”
Of the 18 individual attorneys honored, 11 are graduates of Mitchell Hamline:
- John Arechigo ‘06
