Covid-19 Legal Response Clinic – Student Worker / Administrator Position Description — APPLICATIONS DUE this FRIDAY, May 22
The new Covid-19 Response Clinic is seeking a student administrator starting on June 2nd. This position includes the following job duties: communication with Legal Aid and other community partners around case intake and assessment of legal needs; legal research relating unemployment benefits, housing, workplace rights, and medical / health care directives, and others; working with students and professors in the COVID-19 Legal Response Clinic to coordinate case assignment and administration of legal documents; potentially working directly with community members in need of legal services; and creation of written and on-line materials (video, webpage information, etc.) to assist with basic legal needs in marginalized communities.
We are looking for a student who is preferably entering their 3L year of law school, speaks Spanish, is work-study eligible, and who has flexibility throughout the summer and fall to commit to this work. Additionally, having participated in a MHSL clinic would be a plus.
This work will begin the week of June 1st and continue through the Fall 2020 Semester. Hours are flexible – between 15-30 a week. This is a paid position.
