I hope that you are staying safe and healthy during these challenging times. To help add some normalcy to your year, we are officially kicking off our annual Entertainment Law Initiative (ELI) Writing Competition. We are pleased to be keeping our competition more or less the same in this changed environment but note that there are some COVID-mandated modifications to the prize packages this year. That said, we are thrilled to be able to present the same level of tuition scholarships as in the past with a mentorship session with a top entertainment attorney newly added to each prize level as well. Please visit GRAMMY.com/ELI for full details including rules, deadlines, and more.
To help us spread the word about the Writing Competition we have created some social media resources which are located at https://grammy.com/eli-social. This includes ready-made graphics for Instagram, Facebook and Twitter.
Please help us spread the word by sharing the flyer/info on your school’s virtual bulletin boards, relevant student organization and/or other web pages at your institution and encourage faculty, administration and students to help spread the word through social media accounts as well. We are always trying to increase the reach of our Writing Competition promotion, so every bit of sharing helps.
During a normal year, we plan live info sessions at schools wherever possible to inform students about the writing competition. However, we realize that many if not most, schools are not holding classes in person at this time. With that in mind we will be hosting an online ELI Writing Competition Info Session open to all interested law students, faculty and administration nationwide that will take place on Tuesday, December 1, 2020 at 11 am PT/1 pm CT/2 pm ET. Here is the link to register for this session: https://grm.my/3pCDQoo More details on this info session along with RSVP information will be sent to you in coming days and we would appreciate you informing students and those who connect with them at your institution.
We look forward to another great year for our ELI Writing Competition and hope that students will take advantage of this wonderful opportunity. We also sincerely thank you for any efforts in helping to spread the word. If you have any questions about the competition or helping to promote it, please reach out Luke Savage on my team at luke.savage@recordingacademy.com or to me directly.
