The Tax Planning Clinic is focused on working with small nonprofit organizations seeking tax exempt status. Usually the Clinic gets their clients from LegalCorps. The student works with one client through the semester to prepare the organization’s application for tax exempt status that will be filed with the IRS. The course also touches on the various legal issues unique to small, newer nonprofits. Questions can be directed to Professors Brad Colbert or Emmett Robertson.
