Did you know you can improve your mental and physical health… with dance?! Dance/movement therapy (DMT) is on the rise and it is helping a lot of people! According to GoodTherapy.org, DMT uses dance and movement to help people achieve emotional, cognitive, physical, and social integration. DMT can be used for stress reduction, mood management, body perception improvement, and overall self-esteem. Link to article here: Dance / Movement Therapy.
Take some time out of your day to DANCE LIKE NO ONE IS WATCHING! Put on your favorite music, clear a space, and move your body! While there is no time limit on this activity, aim for 30 minutes. Have fun and don’t be afraid to be silly!
P.S. Photos are encouraged, but not required for this activity. Instead, write a short comment about how it went and what music you listened to!
