Lawyers of Color Fellow Registration 2021-22
Lawyers of Color is recruiting minority law students to serve as Lawyers of Color Fellows, who will have the opportunity to network with law firm partners and corporate in-house counsel, as well as public interest law leaders. We are a 501(c)(3) devoted to promoting diversity in the legal profession. We celebrate attorneys of color and conduct research and studies regarding the intersection of the legal profession and social justice. We’ve been mentioned in The New York Times, the National Law Journal, and Above The Law, among other media outlets. Because fellows are not paid, there is typically only a small time commitment of about 30 minutes per week. Call for 40 Under 40 Law Professor Nominations
Lawyers of Color’s inaugural 40 Under 40 list will recognize outstanding law professors of African, Asian, and Latin descent, as well as Native Americans. These law professors may be tenure-track or contract professors; however, they must be full-time faculty and 40 years of age or younger with titles, such as Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, Clinical Professor, etc. Candidates must not be full professors. Law professors may be nominated by law school administrators, colleagues, or law students. Law professors may also nominate themselves. Law professors will be evaluated on both their pedagogical and scholarly achievement. Their work should be transformative, innovative, and impactful to students and demonstrate a commitment to racial and ethnic diversity. Nominations will be evaluated by Lawyers of Color’s Lead Fellows and advisers.
