ST. PAUL, MN (April 11, 2021) – Less than one year ago, many businesses along University Avenue were damaged, many beyond repair. The total damage is estimated to be over $88M in property damage, loss of inventory and loss of other business assets. Many were locally owned, BIPOC business owners from diverse backgrounds, offering goods and services to their community. What happens to the community? What happens to the business owners What will the property owners do?
Come hear members of the University Avenue community talk about the efforts underway at “Rebuilding University Avenue,” a free public program presented by the League of Women Voters St. Paul (LWVSP) on Tuesday, April 27, from 7:00pm – 8:00pm. In the interest of public health and safety, this will be a virtual event. The event will be available via Zoom and also will be shown on LWVSP’s Facebook page.
